Project S.A.U

This project spanned over the course of ten weeks, in which I came up with a game idea and then proceeded to design its UI view. One of my main goals with it was to become fully comfortable in Illustrator, a software I hadn’t used up until then. It proved to be a great tool and I had lots of fun with it. However, it also took some time away from the project itself to learn something new, which meant I wasn’t able to finish everything I had planned. Despite this I’m happy with the result and had a good time along the way!

The game is a sci-fi, first person shooter exploration game, in which you play as a special kind of astronaut dubbed Space Angel Unit (S.A.U). These astronauts mine asteroids for highly valuable minerals, as well as protect them from any competition. As a SAU, you will have a number of tools to aid you, such as drones that can be given different commands (help with mining or fight enemies, for example). During the game you will traverse a vast space, find different outposts and use whatever tools you have to progress forward.

Icons made early on during the project, in order to become comfortable in Illustrator and potentially come up with a logo for S.A.U.
