Party Golf

Party Golf is a mock-up mobile game made over a weekend in order to test out mobile graphics. It was one of the most fun solo projects I’ve worked on - the goal was simply to make it colorful, soft, and easy to read for mobile. Working in Illustrator felt really good with this project, it allowed for a lot of clever ways to realize a certain idea, as well as inspiring new ones.

The game idea is borrowed from a multiplayer game called Golf It! (available on Steam), where you play mini golf with friends and customize your golf ball in fun ways. I’ve long wanted to try and make my own remake of its UI, so I combined that with my curiosity of mobile design in this project. I wanted this to be the kind of game that anyone could play, including young kids, so I designed with that in mind. My style guide was basically: round corners, soft shading, bright colors and large buttons.
